Here are some flower arrangement ideas to share with you.

A) Picture above :  transform your wreath to centrepiece.

1) Find a matching size vase or flower pot that fit in the wreath nicely.

2) secured the wreath by  using green wire, fasten it and make a deep insertion into the dry or wet sponge.

for clear vase, cover the sponge with white stones.

3) place 1 phalaenopsis in glass tube filled with water, secured the glass tube with cable tie.

4) place tea light or candle in the centre of the wreath.

B) Long centrepiece -add beads

Beside  block candles, you can consider

adding beads to your flowers…….

C) Red and white christmas with red gerberas and kochia.

Red ribbon, gold star, christmas pine cone…………

Christmas is coming….You must be busy out there shopping for

Christmas Tree, Christmas ornaments,  ribbons, presents etc etc…

This year I see many creative  Christmas trees, I have seen

red Christmas tree, black Christmas tree,gold cone, silver cone and black cone.

They are really cool, it will be nice if you place them in a boutique,

furniture store or offices….

Ideas on masquerade wedding.

Do you have friends that have masquerade wedding theme?

Here are some ideas you might want to consider:

1) chose  red and black theme

2)get lots of ostrich feather and fur as you would need to accessorize the venue and flowers.

3) get ready lots of masks, ideally few masks for every table.

4) be bold hang masks and feather or fur on stage, entrance, aisle, reception table, guest tables  and VIP table.

5) invite your guests to bring their own mask.

Some tips on Sunflowers
1) Cut stem everyday if you put them in vase as
the stem will rot easily.
2) Ensure you have provide enough space for wet foam
when arranging sunflowers as they have big stems.
3) Add water to wet foam after arranging sunflowers
as they required lots of water.
4)Use strong wire to support sunflower so it is not “facing down”
5)Worried over some ” missing petals” on sunflowers?
Just remove all the petals and you transform it to another
exotic flower (see picture below)
6) An ideal gift for a guy,get well,cheer someone up….
7) Have  you  seen a Red sunflower before? Yes, it does exit.

Buds and Bloom Flowers
It take hours and days  for bud flowers to bloom.
We enjoy buying bud flowers and see the flowers bloom
day by day.

Turn your garden swing to a floral swing.
Ideas on turning your garden swing to a wedding floral swing.

An alternate idea of having floral swing instead of the wedding arch.
Use lots of ivy leaves and roses and go round the swing.

Add ribbons to soften it.

Flowers in fish bowl
just 3 steps and  you can create beautiful flowers in fish bowl.
Materials :
Small fish bowl size : height 20cm
flowers : maroon cymbidium, orange pin cushion, rice flowers, hypericum & ruscus leaves

1) cut wet oasis foam – size about 7cmx 7cmx 6cm (height)
(make sure your wet foam is  just nice to fit into the fish bowl)

2) arrange flowers and leaves on the wet sponge.

3)Place the arranged flowers in the fish bowl and fill in 2 cm height of water.

You can use this centerpiece for wedding, corporate event or just simply place it in your house.

I mentioned in my previous blog that 090909 is a hot date for wedding and
wedding proposal.

But more couples tying the knot on 20/09/2009!

I worked  for long hours prior to 20092009. Wedding arches, bridal posies,corsages, centerpieces etc etc….

Is the next favorite date on 14 Feb 2010-Valentine’s Day which fall on Sunday!

A good suggestion but take into consideration that flowers are about 20%-50% higher than normal rate. Are you willing to pay a premium for the flowers? Will the Hotels and  restaurants be fulling booked on that romantic day?

On 09/09/09  some of  my customers ordered 99 roses to celebrate  this special date.

Some proposed to their sweethearts on this date and many couples  exchange wedding  vows on 09/09/09.

It is great to have a  date that is easy to remember. I think selecting a date for your big day is tough.

Why Jan?  Why December?

I think you need at least 6 months to prepare your big day as you need to shop for your gown, flowers, wedding venue, caterers, invitation cards,  wedding favors, book your honeymoon…….etc etc…

So you have missed this auspicious date? Don’t fret, we have 10/10/10, 11/11/11 & 12/12/12.

Cymbidium Orchids

I am charmed by this  beautiful and versatile flower.
They come in a wide variety of colors : white,green,light green,maroon,pink,yellow,gold.
This orchid has long, thick stem which make flower arranging easy.
Not only the stem is thick, the flower is hard too which mean they will last for  quite a long time about more than 10 days.

Ideas :

1) Gifts -simply arrange cymbidium and baby breath in small vase.

2) Bridal bouquet-mixed cymbidium with roses or

just cymbidium will look perfect.

3) Office arrangement -whether you place it in a tall clear vase with water or arrange them in low

vase it is going to look great.

4) For Restaurant – excellent for restaurant, just a cymbidium and bear glass in a small clear vase is simple yet elegant. Or just add twigs and some green leaves like the picture below.

So now  you know why I am so crazy about this flower and must have them every time.
